Some days I want to pitch my entire wardrobe and restock my closet entirely with cute dresses. Too bad my last name isn’t Gates, and I’m far too cheap to throw away anything I’ve spent my own money on.

But THIS dress is at the top of my current MUST-HAVE-RIGHT-NOW list:

Oh, how I pine to rock this adoooooorableeeeee look! The deep V neck is sexy, and the empire waist and loose body will flatter any shape. And the pattern — an adorable peaches-and-cream look with orange and brown leaves.

The sleeves are dolman style. Presh!

I challenge anyone to bring forth to me a trend that is hotter than the vest right now.

This business-gone-casual (or cash, if you speak in abbrevs) phenomenon is becoming trendier than tucking sweatpants into Uggs. (For the record, this is what I think about that look: Um, ew.)

But the vest…now that’s something I can get into. Think about this, ladies! You have a cami on, and you want to style it up. Throw a vest atop it, slip on some skinny jeans and you’ve got yourself an outfit. They work well with babydoll tops too — and dresses. And v-necks. And….anything? Heck, I’ve even seen some people wearing JUST vests. Buy ONE vest and you’ve seriously got 118232 new outfit possibilities. THAT is the mark of a good fashion investment.

And the time we’ve all been has finally come: the debut of bevello’s very first vest.

But this vest, designed by one of bevello’s emerging designers, Ryu, isn’t your typical black vest, lurking amongst the messy stacks in Forever 21. No, no, no dearies! The vest has two flaps, and, for extra flare, a single button to fasten the smaller part to form-fit your body, defining your shape while the second vest hangs loosely beside you. It’s the perfect combination of flowy-yet-fitted.

The back is cinched and has sharp fan pleating to give the hour-glass appearance. Love it! It’s stylish and totally feminine. A+ to you, Ryu.

HOW:  I would wear the bevello organic cowl neck with the gray and white striped culottes.  Then gray denim vest is a great layering piece that pulls the look together.  I love these little dove earrings from lulus boutique.  Since the cowl neck is so ornate there is not need for a necklace.  The best part of this outfit is the back!  The back of the culotte is a cute bow! and there are some amazing pleat detailing on the denim vest as well.  The muted gray colors are subdued but the pop of green from the cowl neck makes it complete!

WHERE: I would wear this outfit on a first lunch date to a casual outdoor bistro. Its chic and not too showy.  I still feel sexy yet proper showing a little skin with my legs and arms.  Cute enough to get me a second date if he was lucky =)

HOW:   I would wear the trinity yellow ribbon dress with the old navy rope sandels.  The “works in progress” necklace goes great with the colors of the dress and the Anthropologie “Zowie Zinnia” hand bag.  The yellow and green combination is so fresh and summery!

WHERE:  I would throw on this cute little ensemble to a day trip to the beach with my girlfriends.  The dress is casual enough as a perfect bathing suit cover-up, but still pulls off a well put together outfit!  The handbag could hold all my beach day needs from sunglasses to sunscreen!  Throw me a beach towel and lets hit the road!

It’s amazing how you can rejuvenate an old outfit when you throw a brand-spankin-new accessory into the mix. My favorite piece to spice things up? NECKLACES.

I just love themmmmmm. We’ve gone through the preppy silver charmed necklace phase, the Hollister-infused puka shell surf chokers — but this summer, I’m gettin’ an hippie vibe in the jewelry department. I’m talking tarnished, leathery, beaded, flower power…I know, it’s kind of hard to articulate, but I think you’ll see what I mean.

It TOTALLY makes me think of a flower child, I don’t know about you all. Very cute, though!

HOW: The Heather Grey Cropped Sleeveless Cardigan by [Ryu: is worn over the C & C Company tank dress. I prefer unbuttoned, but it would look great either way. I love ballet flats and think the gray matches the cardigan but the two tone and metallic accent adds texture and contrast!! I love The Sak bags and this one complements the dress and is also great for the environment.

WHERE: For me I would wear this outfit anywhere! For meeting a friend for a nice casual dinner (all dinners in Tucson are pretty casual – LOL), or for a daytime shopping excursion, or for any daytime social event in the summer here.

About 3 years ago I found this amazing designer, Orla Kiely at Anthropologie.  I was so drawn to her vintage and simplistic prints.  I bought “the big zip wallet” for a $88.oo which usually is about 3 times my usual wallet budget.

  But let me  personally vouch for this London based designer!  This is by far the best, most durable, easy to clean, fits everything and cutest wallet I have EVER owned.  I was able to have it for a year and I could of had it longer if I kept it a little cleaner (my bad).  I bought another one this year (picture above).  I know many of her customers must be repeats!

     I get so many compliments on it and now her intriguing patterns have become increasingly popular!  Check out some of her stuff I posted below. Orla initailly started out with handbags and wallets and now has expanded to clothing and even a home line at target! (WATCH FUN VIDEO) This product is worth every penny.

    The quality is outstanding!  I don’t think I will ever get enough of her vision for an adorable and long lasting line of fashion items that embody a retro 60’s and 70’s conservative vibe with a modern vintage twist!
