THIS JUST IN: Scarves are no longer used solely to keep one’s neck warm during the wintry months. No, no longer shall we pack away our beloved wraps to store away until the dead of winter, leaving our necks naked throughout the remaining 3 seasons.

It’s no retail mistake that you see isles of checkered, floral, striped and otherwise-printed scarves in your favorite shopping locales. Scarves, wraps and ties are, quite possibly, the trademark accessory of 2009. And bevello, your favorite online clothing boutique, is on it.

This peach-colored ruffle scarf, designed by Sun Palace, is lightweight and airy — so you won’t be drug down by the summer heat. The peach will go with many of the other big colors of the season: rust, brown, white and, as always, black. Throw it on a top, dress or jacket and you’re instantly in vogue!

You can’t deny the return of the check this season. This heather-gray gingham scarf, also by Sun Palace, is cut from a gauzey fabric to keep you cool. Plus, the light-buffalo check will make any ensemble snazzy-chic.

Sun Palace did it right again with this ivory-cream lace scarf. The scarf is soft to the touch and has a vintage lace. Add a retro feel to any look!

Don’t be afriad to scarf it up. I was before I knew how to wear them. You feelin’ the same? No worries! How to Tie a Scarf 101.

You can thank me later.
