I wanted to take a moment to share an inside view of the quality staff at bevello in Cameron Village ! This week’s interview is with Carlee. Let’s get to know this blonde beauty!

1) What drew you to bevello?

I was drawn to bevello for the opportunity to get retail experience before I graduate from NCSU. Also, Chan really seemed to know what he was doing, and I wanted to see how to open and run a successful boutique since it’s something I eventually want to do myself!

2) Other than bevello what else do you do?

I am currently a junior in Fashion and Apparel Development at North Carolina State University! I also recently was initiated into the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority! I model for my friends in fashion shows around Raleigh, also make and design dresses in my free time

3) Describe your personal style?

I really don’t have one specific style. I have some “punk outfits”, preppy, basics, and a lot of other styles; I dress depending on how I feel that day! I think this way I’m less predictable.

4) Who is your favorite ( non-bevello) designer?

My favorite designer that bevello doesn’t carry is Christian Dior (although I don’t own anything).

Who is your favorite in house (bevello) designer?

My favorite bevello designer is Trinity because everything is so unique, most of the pieces I haven’t seen anything like it before.

Two words: SHOULDER-PADS ! Unless you play football… it’s a no-no!

Charlize Theron, she always wears the best dresses and looks very classy and natural. I love watching her on the red carpet!

queen wintour on letterman

It’s funny how you can build up certain images of celebrities in your mind, but once you hear them speak — they’re pretty much instantly dashed.

Now, I’ve heard Anna Wintour talk before. I saw the 60 minutes, I’ve seen red carpet interviews. But I have to say, I really enjoyed her interview on David Letterman the other night. If you missed it, check it out:

She addresses her image as a mega-power control-freak, and even cracks a few jokes at herself.

This interview comes right on the cusp of the release of The September Issue movie (SEPT 11, AHH!). I have to say, she somewhat lives up to her unapproachable, diva-like image…but she’s hardly the ice queen society makes her out to be. What do you think?

Sure, she wears Prada. But, judging from her interviews, she is hardly the devil.

Kim Kardashian goes BLONDE!!

Kim Kardashian is one of my favorite reality TV stars. I am a big sucker for her families’ hit reality TV show “Keeping up with the Kardashians.” And since “Kourtney and Khloe in Maimi” is on E! this summer, I ‘ve gotten myself in deeper into my love affair with the crazy Kardashians. I don’t care if the stuff they do is all fake! I’m sufficiently entertained, which is enough for me.

What I DON’T really love is Kim’s new do’ ! She went BLONDE!!! Why kim? Why? I thought what made her so beautiful is her exotic dark hair and features!

See what I mean?? Sooooo much better! Ok so I admit, I have an affinity to dark brunettes since I am one myself. Blondes are cool too, but this Armenian beauty should stick with her god given beauty and features and keep the hair in the dark hue.

I feel ya though Kim, You just broke up with HOT boyfriend Reggie Bush and you’re trying to change the game up a bit.

We love Kim best in her “Chic Dress” by Voom, designed by Joy Han. She sported this last year at the red carpet event for Disney Channel to support her brother, Rob’s girlfriend and Cheetah girl, Adrienne Bailon. Althought not sure if there are still together?

the countdown begins

Tomorrow is the night….ahhh!!! The kickoff of the new season of project runway is less than 24 hours away!!!

Here’s hoping season six is as amazing as season five was. I have no doubts that it will not disappoint, after all — it is going to be in Los Angeles. In addition to the location swap, there’s also the change in station — from Bravo to Lifetime. I’m thinking this may make for an even MORE dramatic season. I hope.

I’m a little disappointed by the layout of their new Web site (not so user friendly, eh?) but that is irrelevant. My love for great fashion and drama goes far beyond my distaste for poorly organized links. And after looking at the “Meet the Designers” page, I’m more curious than ever. That is one eccentric-looking group of people. CAN. NOT. WAIT.

So, yes. TEN O’CLOCK. TOMORROW NIGHT. I know what I’ll be doing. (Call me and reap very unpleasant consequences.)

Everybody by now has seen that STAPLES commerical for the “EASY” button. Boy, wouldn’t that be nice. But what i’d really like is a “Re-do” button! You know, for some of those “What was she thinking”? or better yet “What was I thinking” fashion moments.

What a great idea! Instead of trashing the celebrities and tell them how BAD they look. Let’s tell them what they should have done! I decided to do a little Re-do of my own on Britney Spears:

HOLD UP! What’s going on with the undergarments Brit? The dress is alright but a golden snake arm band? Let see how a trip to bevello can help:

So here’s how I re-did Brit…. Still gave her a green dress, but one that actually fits. I opted for our green ribbon dress by trinity (available here). Its organic so its soft and comfy without showing off the undergarments (or lack there of)

I switched up her square glasses for a more retro feminine feel. Threw up some cute wedges from pink studio and a handbag that played off the shoes. Exchanged her scary snake arm band for a few accessories : Bangle from Forever 21 and a necklace from urban outfitters.

If Britany wanted to get on the fashion ”Radar” like her new song, she should take up some fashion tips from our “Re-Do” button instead of taking some undeniable fashion risks with little pay off.
